The Wellington Colorado Main Streets Program is an organized group of pro-active citizens whose goal is to promote, enhance, and develop downtown Wellington for the benefit of its inhabitants, businesses, and visitors.
Our Project Highlights
- 8 Bike racks fabricated and installed along Cleveland Ave. funded by Do Gooders grant from Blue Federal Credit Union, 2017
- Gateway Monument Wellington Signage for Cleveland Ave. town entrances, 2016
- Mobile LED sign for announcing community events
- Downtown beautification: Flowers planters, streetside banners, Christmas decorations, and bike racks
- Special Events- Summer concert series, 3rd Saturday of June, July, August
- Historic Preservation Survey on 25 downtown Wellington buildings, due out Feb 2018
- Wellington Main Street program reached Designated status with DOLA in 2017!
- Worked with local donors to update downtown Wellington's Christmas Decorations
- Mural for the town hall building due to be complete by July 2018
- Applying for grants to help with upgrades to buildings and downtown infrastructure
- Working with the town to come up with Design Guidelines for Downtown Wellington
- Exploring bringing a Downtown Development Authority to Wellington to help with needed infrastructure improvements
- Working with Tree Top Inc to clean up trees along Cleveland Ave. on Arbor Day
