The annual Town of Wellington Fourth of July celebration is around the corner. Get ready for a day full of community fun.

Schedule

  • Pancake Breakfast - 7 a.m. -10 a.m. Hosted by the Filling Station (3906 Cleveland Avenue)
  • Parade – 10 a.m. Cleveland Ave. - Register online by June 20
  • Beer Garden and Skate Jam Hosted by American Legion Wellington Post 176 and Sk8well 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Centennial Park)
  • Festival – 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wellington Community Park (8760 Buffalo Creek Parkway) 🚎 Shuttle available
  • Fireworks - 9:30 p.m. 6th Street

Shuttle

Shuttle service will be available through a generous sponsorship from Wellington Colorado Mainstreet Program. The shuttle service will run from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with drop off and pickup locations outside of the Municipal Services Building (Third Street) and the intersection of E County Road 64 and Buffalo Creek Pkwy.

Car Show Details - Registration Closed June 20

Car Show Registration closed on June 20. Questions regarding the car show, email events@wellingtoncolorado.gov. Day of registration is not permitted. 

Car Show Details 

Parking begins at 7 a.m., July 4th on Buffalo Creek Parkway next to Wellington Community Park. Parking will be first-come, first-served. Judged car registration cut-off at 11:00 am, and trophies will be awarded by 2 p.m.

Please note, for the safety of all participants and event attendees you will not be able to move your car until 3 p.m. 

Parade Registration and Details 

Parade Registration is available online through June 20. Day of registration is not permitted. This year’s Parade theme is “Reach for the Stars"
Parade Line Up 
The parade starts at 10 a.m. an July 4, 2023  with line-up from 7 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The check-in table will be at Wellington Blvd and Cleveland Ave for floats and vehicles and 1st Street and Cleveland Avenue for animals and walking groups. You must check in at this location! Registration and payment must be submitted by June 20th. Registration is $10! 

Judging will begin promptly at 9 a.m. This year’s entries will be judged in two categories: floats and walking entries with trophies for first, second, and third awarded during the parade. Judging will be based on originality, creativity, workmanship, and overall appearance.

Parking

On-street parking is available throughout the day. Please do not block private property driveways or in front of emergency vehicles.Accessible Parking for registered vehicles will be available in designated areas for the parade, festival and fireworks. An event map will be available closer to the event.

 Volunteer

The Fourth of July in Wellington is the year's largest event, hosting over 10,000 people downtown and at Wellington Community Park! The Town of Wellington is looking for dedicated volunteers to help put on this amazing community event. if you are interested, please email events@wellingtoncolorado.gov.There are several ways to volunteer throughout the day, including helping with set-up, kids games, parade line-up and more.
