Volunteer
The Town of Wellington is looking for dedicated volunteers to help put on this amazing community event. There are several ways to volunteer throughout the day, including helping with set-up, kids games, shuttles, parade line-up and more. To sign up to be a part of this day, visit

7 a.m. – 10 a.m. – Pancake Breakfast Hosted by the Filling Station (3906 Cleveland Avenue)
10 a.m. – Parade on Cleveland Ave.
11 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Festival at Wellington Community Park (8760 Buffalo Creek Parkway)
9 p.m. – Fireworks – 6th Street
Road Closure Information:
Cleveland Ave (State HWY 1) from Highway 9 to 6th Street will be closed from 6 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Buffalo Creek Parkway will be closed from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
6th Street from Grant Avenue to Washington Ave will be closed from 2 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Parking and Transportation Information:
On-street parking is available throughout the day. Please do not block private property driveways or sidewalk access. Accessible Parking for registered vehicles will be available in designated areas for the parade, festival and fireworks. Please refer to the 4th of July map for additional information. Parking will be limited, and attendees are encouraged to use alternative forms of transportation if possible.
A shuttle will be available for limited use and will drop off and pick up at the Municipal Services Building (8225 Third Street) and on the corner of Washington Ave. and Buffalo Creek Parkway.
Parade Information:
The parade route starts at 1st Street and Cleveland Ave and ends at 5th Street and Cleveland Ave in downtown Wellington.
Candy may be passed out by parade participants along the sides of the street, as well as water sprayers and bubbles, during the parade and attendees are strongly encouraged to watch kids carefully to ensure their safety near moving vehicles. Parade participants have been notified that the throwing of candy is prohibited and will be strictly enforced.
