[ARCHIVED] Municipal Election ballots in the mail

2024 Municipal Election

Ballots for next month’s Municipal Election are set to be mailed out March 11Every registered voter in Wellington should receive a ballot in the mail within the next several days.  

Replacement ballot(s) and voter registration assistance are available at the Municipal Services Building, 8225 3rd St. Voters seeking a replacement ballot will be required to file a reason for the request on a form provided by the Clerk’s office. 

Ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk by 7 p.m. on April 2, Election Night. Ballots can be returned in the following ways: 

• Using the utilities drop box at the Municipal Services Building (available now); 

• Using the Larimer County elections drop box at the Leeper Center, 3800 Wilson Ave. (available starting March 15); 

• Sending your ballot to the Town’s Post Office Box: P.O. Box 127, Wellington, CO 80549 

 

NOTE: ballots must be received by 7 p.m. April 2, not just postmarked by that time. It is highly recommended for anyone returning ballots by mail to do so several days before Election Day (April 2).

 



Any unregistered voter who wishes to register and vote in this election can do so right up until April 2. Residents can check on their voter registration status at the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder website or the Colorado Secretary of State website. For additional assistance with voter registration, please visit the Municipal Services Building or contact the Town Clerk’s office at (970) 568-3381. 


 

Three seats on the Wellington Board of Trustees are up for grabs in this election, with five candidates vying to fill those seats. As all Wellington Town Trustees are elected at-large, all voters can vote for three candidates.

 

Unofficial results from the Municipal Election will be released as soon as feasible after election judges have completed counting on Election Day. Results won’t become official until the Canvass of Election is completed April 11.
